Effect evaluation of Bi-Ling Tang in patients with acute gouty arthritis dampness-heat syndrome
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Bi-Ling Tang in patients with acute gouty arthritis and TCM syndrome differentiation. Methods A total of 86 patients with acute gouty arthritis and TCM syndrome differentiation were randomly divided into control group(n=43,Etoricoxib treatment)and observation group(n=43,treatment with Etoricoxib plus Bi-Ling Tang)for 14 days. The severity of symptoms in patients of two groups before and after treatment was evaluated by the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome integral method. Before and after treatment, serum tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),IL-8,and IL-1β were measured by flow cytometry.Serum uric acid(UA)and C reactive protein(CRP)were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer and special protein analyzer, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)was determined, adverse drug reactions in group 2 were recorded, and clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results The general clinical data in two groups of patients before treatment,TCM syndrome points, and serum CRP,ESR,UA,TNF-α,1L-1β,IL-8,and IL-6 were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P>0.05).In group 2,TCM syndrome score and serum CRP,ESR,UA,TNF-α,IL-1 β,IL-8,IL-8,and IL-6 indexes were all significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.001),and the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in two groups of patients was compared, and there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Patients in the observation group had a higher effective rate than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Bi-Ling Tang is effective, with high safety and little side effects for patients with acute gouty arthritis.
