Effect of the strategy of eliminating phlegm and removing stasis on mitochondrial calcium transport and atherosclerosis indexes in peripheral blood of patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease
Objective To investigate the effect of the strategy of eliminating phlegm and removing stasis on mitochondrial calcium transport and atherosclerosis index(AI)in peripheral blood of patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods A total of 100 CHD patients with stable angina pectoris were selected and randomly divided into control and observation groups.Control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and observation group was treated with Huatan-Quyu decoction on the basis of conventional western medicine. The treatment course lasted 8 weeks. Before and at the end of the treatment, the degree of angina pectoris was evaluated by Seattle angina questionnaire(SAQ),and double reagent enzymatic method was used to determine the levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C).Blood Rheology Analyzer was used to measure hemorheological indexes.Electrochemiluminescence method was used to measure serum mitochondrial calcium uniporter(MCU)level.Carotid artery ultrasound was used to detect AI in two groups of patients, and the clinical efficacy of the patients was compared between two groups. Results After the treatment,SAQ scores of two groups of patients were higher than before treatment, including the degree of physical limitation, stable state of angina pectoris, episode of angina pectoris, treatment satisfaction and disease awareness.SAQ scores in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of TG,TC,and LDL-C in two groups were lower than before treatment, and they were lower in observation group than those in control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of high-shear blood viscosity,low-shear blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and fibrinogen in two groups were lower than before treatment, and they were lower in observation group than those in control group(P<0.05).After treatment,MCU levels were increased and AI levels were decreased in both groups of patients when compared to before treatment. After treatment,MCU level in observation group was higher than that in control group, while AI level was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the total clinical efficacy of observation group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The strategy of eliminating phlegm and removing blood stasis has a good effect on patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease, and its mechanism may be related to improving mitochondrial calcium transport function and AI in peripheral blood.
