Art and Truth:Clarification of Heidegger's"The Origin of the Work of Art"
The Origin of the Work of Art has always occupied a significant position in the exploration of Heidegger's philosophical development.Meanwhile,as it title indicates it is also about the origin of work of art,it thus has become a crucial text in the dis-course concerning art and works of art as well. And some even define Heidegger's views on art with an equation as"art=truth".This simplified statement deviates from Heidegger's original intention that inevitably leads to certain biases in the philosophical and artistic research based on it.Heidegger opposed the theoretical interpretation of art as imitation that was initiated from Plato and Ar-istotle,and he also criticized the artistic view of subjective creation highlighted by Descartes, especially Kant.He adopted the per-spective of employing objects and tools to analyze and deconstruct the traditional devaluation and refutation of materials and objects, believing that only in artistic works, can objects be displayed, rather than abandoned. He believed that only by delving into the cy-cle,can one discover and integrate into the artwork. In contemporary discourse on the relationship between art and philosophy,per-haps the more thought-provoking approach is not from philosophy to art,but from art to philosophy.
