The Gaze,Condensation,Mutual Learning and Exchange in the Construction of the Hua-gu-deng(Flower-Drum-Lantern)Art
The key to the development of Hua-gu-deng(Flower-Drum-Lantern)Art that evolves from a folk art in the Huai River Basin to a nationally renowned comprehensive performance art lies in the active role played by various groups in its main com-munity with specific orientations. This art not only involves the diachronic accumulation of the group of lantern players(insiders)in the Huai River Basin, but also"the Other's gaze"(outsiders)and the exchange and condensation between various schools,as well as the intricate learnings among the main groups of Hua-gu-deng Art and thus all these factors jointly promote its diversified development. At present,Hua-gu-deng Art is displaying two major trends:the positive development and the passive decline. It thereby is necessary to take certain measures in policy and interventions to protect its source and guide its development, make it in line with the times and further optimize its ecological environment.
