"Phenomenology of Freedom"and Phenomenology of Art:On Martin Heidegger:Phenomenology of Freedom with a Phenomenological Reflection on the Origin of Art
German philosopher Günter Figal indicated in his book Martin Heidegger:Phenomenology of Freedom the issue of freedom is the central theme of Heidegger's philosophy, although the issue of beingis dominant. Therefore,if Heidegger's philosophy is called"phenomenology",then it can also be called"phenomenology of freedom".And Figalstatedthat his concern for freedom was inspired by art, which to some extent echoed Heidegger's later artistic ideas.Figal regarded freedom as an open realm of freedom, which is actually Heidegger's definition of the origin of art.In Heidegger's view, art is a free realm in which all things are in their rightful place, and it is a game played together bythe Geviert of sky, earth, gods and mortals. This phenomenological thinking about art not only has established Heidegger's core position in contemporary art phenomenology, but also provided an important perspec-tive for us to understand artistic works. And thus it is worth noting that the concept of"freedom"highlighted by Figal allows us to gain a vague glimpse of the value orientation originated from"being"in Heidegger's artistic phenomenology.
