Bentonite is an advantageous resource in China.Its main mineral is montmorillonite with a layered structure,but the content of montmorillonite in bentonite is generally 50%,and the impurity content is high,which,therefore,needs to be purified to develop high-end products.Bentonite purification methods and their effects have always been urgently needed technologies in the industry.However,different bentonite properties and associated impurities require different purification methods.Through a review of the research progress on bentonite purification,this study aims to provide guidance for the application of bentonite purification in actual production.
