Studies on the Saccharides Contents from the Rhizome of Three Dioscorea Species in Acropterus Plants
In order to lay a foundation for further relative research and development, the contents of saccharides are studied from the rhizome of dioscorea hemsleyi Prain et Burkill, dioscorea velutipes Prain et Burkill and dioscorea nitens. The contents of reducing sugar, starch and crude polysaccharide are detected according to GB5009.7-2016(first method),GB5009.9-2016(first method)and SN/T 4260-2015 respectively.Of course the sample method was appropriately modified. The reducing ability of crude polysaccharide was measured by the equivalent glucose content of reductive basic copper tartrate.Experimental results show that the contents of total reducing sugar soluble in 80%vol ethanol were 2.28%,6.31%and 5.16%,starch contents are 11.61%,12.55%and 1.43%,and crude polysaccharide contents are 20.38%,54.62%and 39.27%respectively.The reducing capacity of 100 g crude polysaccharide is equivalent to 13.12 g,2.12 g and 8.36 g of glucose in dioscorea hemsleyi Prain et Burkill, dioscorea velutipes Prain et Burkill and dioscorea nitens respectively. The contents of reducing sugar, starch and crude polysaccharide from the rhizome of dioscorea velutipes Prain et Burkill were significantly higher than those of dioscorea hemsleyi Prain et Burkill and dioscorea nitens. The reducing ability of crude polysaccharide of dioscorea hemsleyi Prain et Burkill was significantly higher than that of dioscorea velutipes Prain et Burkill and dioscorea nitens.Dioscorea velutipes Prain et Burkill and dioscorea hemsleyi Prain et Burkill have potential development and application prospects.
