Gallium Enrichment Rules and Prospecting Prospect in the Bottom Aluminaceous Mudstone of Late Permian Longtan Formation,East Jinsha Coal Mine,Guizhou Province
The study area is located in the east of Jinsha county. The content of gallium in the aluminous mudstone at the bottom of Longtan formation ranges from 24.72 to 69.38 ug/g,with an average of 43.87 ug/g.The correlation between Ga and SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3 and TiO2 was analyzed by correlation method,in which Ga was moderately negative correlated with SiO2 and strongly positive correlated with Al2O3+Fe2O3+TiO2,indi-cating that gallium was more likely to follow Al and Ti in the process of weathering, transport and deposition. It occurs mainly in the ionic adsorbed state or in the form of hydroxide colloid.According to lithology, sedimentary structure and fossil characteristics of gallium-bearing rock series, the water depth of aluminum-rich clay rock series is deep-shallow-deep,the REDOX environment is reduction-weak oxidation-reduction environment, and the weathering is relatively weak, strong and weak.Combined with the tectonic background, the favorable areas for gallium enrichment are coastal plain and low-lying areas, which mainly undergo the process of source rock weathering, transport and reweathering leaching. The Tianwan coal mine-sandy soil-central area in the north east of the study area has high ore grade and is a prospecting prospect area.
