As the raw materials of pottery are nearly exhausted,it is necessary to find and develop a new base of raw materials.Therefore,it carry out the search for pottery mineral resources work this time in Jinsha County.Through sample testing and analysis and pottery industry test,it is basically confirmed that part of the clay rocks in the Lower Carboniferous Jiujialu formation can be used as mineral resources for pottery.The min-eral composition,occurrence state,ore type,ore quality and its distribution in the census have been preliminarily ascertained through the survey work.In addition,it can be seen by experiment that the chemical characteristics and properties of pottery samples can meet the requirements of relevant standards.And the pottery making process is simple,and its shape and appearance color also meet the current society's aesthetic requirements for pottery.Through this work,the comprehensive utilization value of the bauxite-bearing Jiujialu formation is im-proved,and it has important guiding significance for the comprehensive utilization of other bauxite-bearing strata in our province,and the utilization prospect of clay rocks for pottery is analyzed and studied.
