Research on the Core Competencies of Open University Teachers in the Context of Educational Informatization
The application of information technology continues to trigger transformations in education and teaching.Teachers at open universities must bravely face these challenges,profoundly change their perceptions,update educational concepts,enhance professional competence,and focus on leveraging the functions and values of educational informatization to adapt well to the development of the times.In the era of educational informatization,open university teachers should not only possess basic subject knowledge,educational competence,and information literacy but also pay special attention to cultivating their core competencies in teaching practice activities,namely:design thinking competence and data literacy.These core competencies empower the professional development of open university teachers,contributing to the construction of an innovative teacher workforce and the advancement of open education.The study concludes by proposing strategies for enhancing the core competencies of open university teachers in the context of educational informatization,which include awakening teachers'awareness of innovation to lead their professional development and emphasizing teaching research to drive educational reform.
