A Study on Digital Learning Difficulties in Senior Learners
The digitalized era now is presenting a new challenge to senior education. It is of great significance to increase senior learners'digital literacies, and promote the construction of a digitalized city.A questionnaire survey polls elderly students aged 60 or above at the Open University in G City,to understand their digital learning status quo.Findings indicate that while it is good to see these students have a strong desire to participate in digital learning, there are still some problems, which fall into two categories, internal difficulties including their physiological, psychological handicaps, and informational literacy barriers, and external threats out of institutions, families, supplies and environments. Results of analyses of demographic variables reveal that senior learners'previous occupation correlates highly with their learning obstacles. Thus,it is necessary to take measures to address these problems, and promote senior-oriented educational digitalized development.
