National University for the Elderly:A Study on the Connotation and Strategies of Implementing Gerontological Education Based on the Open University of China
After 40 years of development,gerontological education in China has achieved remarkable success.However,there are still many problems in terms of resource supply,curriculum construction,teacher team,and digital construction.It is urgent to establish a new type of university for the elderly to effectively and efficiently solve the related problems of gerontological education.This provides an important opportunity for building the National University for the Elderly based on the Open University of China.This paper discusses the application value and unique advantages of building the National University for the Elderly based on the Open University of China,and proposes strategies for solving practical problems of gerontological education in China,including constructing a systematic network of running schools,integrating and optimizing educational resources,promoting digital teaching models,and promoting the construction of teaching teams for gerontological education.
