Exploring the Pathways for Cultivating Humanistic Literacy among Students in Higher Vocational Colleges
Currently,talent cultivation in higher vocational colleges exhibits a trend of prioritizing technical skills over liberal arts,necessitating an enhancement in the cultivation of students'humanistic literacy.The current situation in higher vocational colleges regarding the cultivation of humanistic literacy includes:a limited number of general education courses in the humanities,insufficient development of related teaching materials;relatively weak faculty strength in the humanities;a lackluster humanistic atmosphere in higher vocational colleges,leading to low enthusiasm among students for learning humanistic knowledge.In response to these issues,it is essential to establish an educational philosophy that integrates humanistic elements into the curriculum,permeate humanistic literacy education throughout;innovate the content,form,and teaching methods of general education courses in the humanities,and develop suitable general education materials for higher vocational students;strengthen the construction of faculties in humanistic disciplines,create a positive humanistic campus atmosphere,and enhance students'enthusiasm for learning humanistic knowledge.These measures aim to broaden the pathways for cultivating humanistic literacy among students in higher vocational colleges.
