Innovating Language Teaching and Learning with ChatGPT:An Analysis of BiliBili Video Content
This study employs the method of online ethnography to analyze video contents on Bilibili regarding the application of ChatGPT in language education,exploring the potential and challenges of this artificial intelligence tool in teaching and learning.Findings reveal that these videos cover various aspects ranging from practical applications of ChatGPT,to innovative learning methods,and its impact on traditional teaching models.Despite its potential advantages in providing personalized learning experiences and enhancing learning efficiency,ChatGPT also exhibits limitations in understanding complex contexts and generating creative content.Content creators have proposed strategies such as integrating ChatGPT with other learning tools and fostering learners'critical thinking and self-learning abilities to maximize its educational benefits.This study provides a comprehensive perspective on the role of generative AI in language education and offers references for future educational practices and explorations.
