Research on Constructing Virtual Teaching and Research Office in Open University under Background of Smart Education
To achieve leapfrog development in education,digitalization is an inevitable alternative.Currently,China places greater emphasis on constructing grassroots teaching organizations,and has issued multiple documents advocating pilot programs to explore modern information technologies to build up virtual teaching and research offices.For this end,this paper reviews the evolution of teaching and research in open universities,and summarizes the construction concepts underlying virtual teaching and research offices in the context of smart education.Then,in an endeavor to address the challenges and to provide references for developing education systems,teachers'professionalism,and teaching management and quality in open education,the paper proposes construction principles and pathways,the former of which include problem-focusing and level-improving,dynamic construction,and joint sharing,while the latter team ecological development,teaching and research collaboration,platform intelligent construction,resource co-construction and sharing,innovative method guidance,and optimization of connotation construction.
