Research on Status Quo and Influencing Factors in Farming-Based Education of Agricultural Colleges and Universities——Analyses of Data from Guangdong Universities
The present study polls students from agricultural colleges and universities in Guangdong,in an endeavor to survey the current status and problems in farming-based practical education from aspects such as learners'knowledge, teaching approaches, and contents. The study uses multiple linear regression equations to empirically analyze the impact of four factors—teaching organization management, teaching methods, teaching contents, and teaching process—on the quality of this practical teaching. Results reveal that all the four factors have significant positive effects on this education's quality, teaching organization management being the most prominent contributor, while teaching contents the least. Finally, the paper proposes measures to improve the education, and to help agricultural colleges and universities mould their characteristic educational model.
