Levulinic acid was a key intermediate which was in the biomass chemistry and petrochemical industry.The use of biomass the preparation of levulinic acid method and research progress in recent years were reviewed,and the formation mechanism and levulinic acid catalytic system,and opposite material preparation levulinic acids research prospect were introduced,to provide ideas and reference for the next step.Finally,the tendency of developments in production of levulinic acid was prospect.
