Preparation and Visible Light Photocatalytic Activity of 3 D-BiOI Flows-Like Microspheres
Three-dimensional (3D) -BiOI microspheres were synthesized by a mixed solvothermal process. The catalysts were characterized using X -ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy ( UV-Vis DRS) , and photodegradation of methyl orange ( MO).The results showed that the 3D-BiOI hierarchical hollowsphere with an average diameter of ca.1.5 μm which composed two -diamensional nanoplatelets and its surface had many pores. The hierarchical 3 D -BiOI microspheres exhibited higher photocatalytic activity, after visible-light irradiation for 1 h, and the decolorization of an MO solution (100 mL, 10 -5 mol/L) was 98%.
