Research Progress on Chemical Constituents and Pharmacological Activities of Artemisia argyi
Artemisia argyi is the dry leaf of the plant mugwort from the composite family. It is a traditional Chinese medicine and has been used over 2000 years. Artemisia argyi mainly contains essential oils, flavonoids, triterpenes and microelements,has biological activities of warming meridians for hemostasis,bacteriostatic,antioxidant,anticancer,and so on. Artemisia argyi has been widely used in medical treatments,food,industry and agriculture. Chemical components, pharmacological activities,development and utilization of Artemisia argyi were summarized. It provided a useful reference for future research and application of Artemisia argyi.
