Application of DOE on Hot Plate Welding of Flame Retardant ABS
Two rounds of DOE experimental design and data analysis were carried out.In the first round, the three factor full factor test was used to determine the melt temperature and melt time as the key factors, and the curing time as the non-key factors.Through the response optimization of melt temperature and melt time,it was found that the best advantage fell on the conditional boundary point, and there were problems in the selection of conditional boundary, which needed to be adjusted. In the second experiment,a two-factor response surface design was used with certain curing time and find the best process window of melt temperature and melt time.Through two rounds of DOE experiment design,we found out the corresponding range of optimization conditions when our company's flame-retardant ABS for batteries and competing products reached high welding strength, and compared the respective optimization conditions,it was found that the competing products had shorter melting time and wider processing window when obtained the same welding strength as our company's materials.
