Study on Performance of Resin-modified Permeable Concrete
The application of traditional permeable concrete in road and bridge paving is limited by its low strength and durability, which not only affects structural safety, but may also have a negative impact on the environment. Therefore,it is particularly crucial to modify the permeable concrete to enhance its performance.Permeable concrete was modified by adding resin, and the effects of coarse aggregate size, the ratio of aggregate to binder, the type of admixture, and the amount of resin on the performance of the modified concrete were systematically investigated. The experimental results showed that when 5.0%by weight of epoxy resin was added to the permeable concrete, its compressive strength and elastic modulus at 28 d can reach 26.8 MPa and 10.3 GPa,respectively, which were 22.0%and 17.0%higher than those of unmodified concrete, while the reduction in permeability coefficient was negligible.
