Determination of Gold Content in Waste Circuit Board by ICP-OES with Fire Assay and Evaluation of Measurement Uncertainty
A testing method for determination of gold content in waste circuit board by ICP-OES with fire assay was developed. The test parameters were optimized and validated. The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0 to 2.0 mg/L,and correlation coefficient was 0.999.The average recoveries of gold content were 94.5%to 104%.RSD of this method was 4.6%.The test result of gold content in waste circuit boards was determined by ICP-OES with fire assay method was 3.03 mg/kg,and the expanded uncertainty was 12%(k=2).The main components contributing most to uncertainty were the uncertainty introduced by the digestion process, the uncertainty introduced by the calibration curve fitting, and the uncertainty introduced by the repeatability measurement. The proposed method could be applied in the determination for gold content in waste circuit board, with the advantages of rapidity, simplicity, high sensitivity and accuracy.
