Solvent Selection for Waste Lubricating Oil Refining Based on Solubility Parameters
Waste lubricating oil has both significant pollution and potential resource value, about 90%of the undeteriorated base oil can still be reused, and the harmless treatment of waste oil with solvent recycling technology can avoid environmental pollution and improve resource utilization efficiency.Based on the solubility parameter theory, this the structure of ideal components of lubricating oil according to the performance of lubricating oil was analyzed, the structure of deteriorated components was calculated according to the use conditions of lubricating oil,and Fedors group contribution method was used to estimate the solubility parameters of ideal components and deteriorated components, providing help for the selection of waste lubricating oil refining solvent. The solubility parameters of ideal components of l ubricating oil ranged from 16.45 to 18.89 J-1/2·cm3/2,and that of deteriorated components ranged from 17.56 to 24.61 J-1/2·cm3/2.In order to make the metamorphic component have good compatibility with the solvent and reduce the solubility of the ideal component in the solvent, the solvent with the solubility parameter between 20 and 23 J-1/2·cm3/2 should be selected preferentially.
