An Engineering Example of Treating Polyurethane Production Waste water by Two-stage A/O and Coagulation Precipitation Method
The wastewater from polyurethane production is a kind of industrial wastewater which is difficult to treat, with great changes in water quality, complex components, strong toxicity, high pollutant concentration and poor biodegradability.A certain factory, based on the water quality characteristics and actual situation, adopted a treatment process of"secondary A/O+coagulation sedimentation"as the main body for treatment. The designed wastewater treatment capacity was 20 m3/d,the design influent quality of a factory's regulating tank was as follows:CODCr:42 000 mg/L,BOD5:9 000 mg/L,SS:1 000 mg/L,NH3-N:200 mg/L,the treated effluent water quality was as follows:CODCr:250 mg/L,BOD5:50 mg/L,SS:100 mg/L,NH3-N:5.4 mg/L.The treated effluent quality was better than the third-class standard(petrochemical industry)in Table 4 of Pollutant Discharge Standard for Synthetic Resin Industry(GB31572-2015)and Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard(GB8978-1996),which can meet the discharge standards. The daily operating cost of the project was 24.46 yuan/m3,which can provide reference for the treatment of other similar polvurethane production wastewater.
