In basic Instrumental Analysis experiments for undergraduate students,many contents of courses can't be carried out because of restriction in instrument efficiency and teaching duration.For instance,in HPLC instrument,the separation of samples is a time-consuming process.As a result,it cannot arrange many tasks in an experiment.By the homemade column with fast mass transfer property,a sample can be separated entirely in 3 min.The new column technology increased the instrument efficiency obviously,then the teaching content can be expanded sufficiently.The qualitative analysis of experimental samples and the evaluation of chromatographic column was achieved quickly in 30 min.Therefore,this had a chance to optimize chromatographic conditions from verification to inquiry experiment.Finally,the results of the quantitative analysis were carried out by the working curve method.According to the improvement,the fundamental experimental content was enriched and deepened,the hands-on practice of basic operations was enhanced.It can lay a solid foundation for the practical application of liquid chromatography.It is an example to promote the effect of instrumental analysis experiments.
