On Approaches to Cultivating the Comprehensive Qualities of the Master of Policing:A Case Study of Sichuan Police College
The comprehensive qualities required for graduate students pursuing a master's degree in policing field include political quality,academic morality,professional literacy,professional spirit,physical and mental quality,etc.At present,the cultivation of comprehensive qualities for such graduate students has certain bright spots in the program formulation,curriculum design,talent training system,teaching team's formation and other aspects.Nevertheless,the deficiencies are evident,including supervisors'lack of consensus on some issues related to the cultivation,supervisors'difference in professional expertise,the imperfect curriculum system,and the informal curriculum standards.In order to relieve students'stress in achieving a work-study balance and improve the effectiveness in the cultivation for these graduate students,the study suggests the approaches such as eliminating the disagreements among different supervisors on the cultivation plan,constructing a scientific curriculum system,implementing the cultivation plan and supporting regulations,adjusting the teaching methods,and clarifying the evaluation indicators for comprehensive qualities.
