Course,Current Status and Prospect of Chinese Academia's Research on Big-data-related Legal Issues
"Big data",as a burgeoning force in the realm of science and technology,has been extensively applied in a broad range of fields and industries.While it is spawning innovative forms and models of the digital economy and driving transformations in production methods,new legal relationships emerging in the process of data operation may give rise to new legal issues.Following a review of three stages in Chinese academia's research on big-data-related legal issues over the past years,the article explores current status of domestic research on fundamental legal issues in this field,including the definition and distinction of essential concepts,data types and their legal attributes.Furthermore,it delves into hot issues surrounding data security,data protection,as well as the openness and utilization of data,and then puts forward the trend and direction for future research on big-data-related legal issues in the context of evolving digital economy.
