On Reforming the Evaluation System for Subordinate Schools and Departments in Public Security Colleges and Universities
Police education has obvious occupational-related characteristics,and the impact of these characteristics on the evaluation of subordinate schools and departments in public security colleges and universities is mainly reflected in the distinct political nature,strong administrative attribute and singleness in the service orientation.Amidst the ongoing reforms in educational evaluation,it is imperative that the evaluation of subordinate schools and departments in such higher education institutions should conform to principles such as primarily using quantitative evaluation,being outcome-oriented and comprehensive,focusing on audit evaluation,and integration of both positive and negative evaluations.The evaluation of subordinate colleges and departments in public security colleges and universities should be undertaken from six aspects:the strengthening of the grassroots organizations of the Communist Party and the Communist Youth League of China,personnel training,enhancement of faculty quality,teaching construction and management,scholarly research,and social service.In the practice of these evaluations,a rigorous focus should be placed on the scientificity,practicality,and comprehensiveness of the scoring setting,data acquisition,calculation rules,and the utilization of results.
