Toxicity effect of stream water around a phosphorus chemical plant on zebrafish(Danio rerio)
In this study we explored the ecological risk of the water environment around phosphorus chemical plants on aquatic organisms. The accumulation of phosphorus(P)and mercury(Hg)in zebrafish(Danio rerio)in the stream water around a phosphorus chemical plant and its effect on the growth indexes, the superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity, the glutathione(GSH)content and the malondialdehyde(MDA)content of zebrafish were studied. The results showed that the average concentration of P and Hg in the stream water around the phosphorus chemical plant exceeded the limits provided in national standard GB 3838-2002.Under the stress of the stream water, the growth indexes of zebrafish did not change significantly. The SOD activity in zebrafish was more sensitive to the stress of the stream water around the phosphorus chemical plant. The stream water around the phosphorus chemical plant undermined the dynamic balance of the antioxidant system of zebrafish, posing a certain ecological risk.
