Parameter sensitivity analysis of curved beam bridge with rocking piers
To investigate the effect of initial prestress force, yield strength, and number of prestressed steel strands on the seismic performance of a curved beam bridge with rocking piers,a finite element model of the bridge was es-tablished and dynamic time history analysis was performed. The results showed that the increase in the initial pre-stress force would result in the increase of the constraint at the base of the pier, the decrease of the displacement at the top of the pier, and the increase of the bending moment at the base of the pier.If the yield strength of the pres-tressed steel strands is too small, premature yielding may occur. Therefore, when choosing self-resetting prestressed steel components, the yield strength of the prestressed steel strands should be appropriately increased. When setting the prestressed steel strands, the number of the strands could be increased appropriately, but should not be increased excessively.
