Stability study on a slag-accumulated slope in Zunyi
This paper uses FLAC3D software and the modified Mohr-Coulomb model to analyze the stability of a slag-accumulated slope in Zunyi City under two operating conditions:new slag stockpile and rainfall infiltration.Re-search shows that the new slag stockpile load has a significant impact on the stability of the slope;its overall dis-placement increases, settlement is obvious, and the slope surface is prone to bulging or cracking.Under the rainfall infiltration condition, the soil bulk weight of the slope increases, the shear strength decreases, the local deformation is large, and the overall stability decreases. In order to protect the environment and maintain the stability of the slope,it is necessary to build a gravity-type retaining wall with good drainage at the foot of the slope, lay clay on the slope surface to prevent rainwater infiltration, and lay planting soil to restore the ecological environment.
