Effect of sludge conditioner on deep dewatering of high-manganese civil sludge
Sludge conditioner is not only related to the dewatering effect but also affects the operating cost,so it is crucial to select the appropriate conditioner for the deep dewatering of sludge according to the properties of the sludge.In this paper,the effect of different conditioner combinations(ferrous sulfate+hydrogen peroxide,PAC+PAM,poly quaternary ammonium salt+PAM,biological flocculant,and PAC+organic coagulant)on the deep dewa-tering of high-manganese civil sludge was studied.The results showed that the water content of the sludge was less than 55%after treated by the 5 conditioner combinations.Except for ferrous sulfate+hydrogen peroxide,all the con-ditioner combinations could effectively reduce the total manganese,CODcr,TN and other pollutants in the dewatered solution.Comprehensively considering the dewatering effect,the pollution concentration in the dewatered solution,the treatment cost,and the operation and maintenance,it is suitable to adopt the PAC+organic coagulant combina-tion for the deep dewatering of high-manganese civil sludge.This study can provide technical reference for the se-lection of dewatering conditioners for high-manganese civil sludge.
