Effects of polymerization conditions on microstructure of PEDOT and electrical properties of laminated aluminum capacitors
In order to obtain dense PEDOT layers, the effects of different polymerization conditions on the growth, microstructure and thickness of PEDOT,and the electrical properties of laminated aluminum capacitors were stud-ied.The results showed that compared with 25%oxidant concentration, the growth of PEDOT at 35%oxidant con-centration was faster, the microstructure was long chain network, the thickness was thicker, and the electrical param-eters were better. When the oxidant was dried at 40℃,it was easy to form dendritic crystals, which was favorable for PEDOT to cover the aluminum foil surface, with more uniform thickness and better electrical parameters.Increas-ing the water rinse times could make PEDOT better fill the aluminum foil corrosion holes, having denser microstruc-ture,better thickness consistency, higher capacity extraction, and lower loss and ESR of finished products.Consider-ing the influence of the above conditions on PEDOT,a complete polymerization was divided into three stages;inner layer filling, surface growth and thickness increase. On this basis, the optimal growth model of PEDOT was formed, solving the problems of thin and low-density PEDOT layer in batch production, and improving the electrical per-formance and reliability of laminated aluminum capacitors.
