Rapid detection of piperazine in aqueous solution with sodium 1,2-naphthoqui-none-4-sulfonate as the chromogenic reagent
A new method for the determination of piperazine in aqueous solution was established based on spectro-photometry.Piperazine reacted with sodium 1,2-naphthoquinone-4-sulfonate(NQS)in Na2 HPO4(0.05 mol/L)-NaOH(0.1 mol/L)buffer at pH 11 to form a brick red product, which had a maximum absorption peak at 486 nm.The linear relationship was good in the concentration range of 10 μg/mL to 30 μg/mL.The linear regression e-quation was y=0.0702x-0.362,and the linear correlation coefficient r=0.9997.The apparent molar absorptivity was 1.8×104 L·(mol·cm)-1.The detection limit(3 s/k)was 0.81 μg/mL,the precision was 0.71%(n=11),and the relative standard deviation was 1.37%(n=11).The method could directly measure the content of pipera-zine in aqueous solution in the production process, and the spiked recovery rate was between 94.0%and 105.5%.
