Photosynthesis Characteristics of Different Walnut Varieties
The photosynthesis rate (Pn), light response, transpiration rate (Tr) and stomatal conductance (Cond) of six walnut varieties were determined to provide the theoretical basis for selection and cultivation technology of walnut varieties under different light conditions. The results showed that there were obvious differences in Pn diurnal variation, Pn response to light intensity and water use efficiency between six walnut varieties. The light saturation point and light compensation point of Qianhe 5, Qianhe 7, Hezhang 6, Hezhang 8, Luozhou 4 and Xiangling was 1 490, 1 475, 1 490, 1 478, 1 460 and 1 272 μmol CO2/(m2 · S), and 18. 3, 19. 38, 18. 75, 18. 51, 17. 26 and 16. 25 μmol CO2/(m2 · S) respectively. The light-loving order of six tested walnut varieties was Qianhe 5> Hezhang 6> Hezhang 8> Qianhe 7 > Luozhou 4 > Xiangling. The shade tolerance of six tested walnut varieties was Xiangling > Luozhou 4>Qianhe 5>Hezhang 8>Hezhang 6>Qianhe 7. The water use efficiency of Qianhe 7 reached the maximum at 6:00am-10:00 am.
