The contents of oil representation substances and chemical components of flue-cured tobacco with different leaf position from different producing areas were compared by a field test to study quality difference of flue-cured tobacco produced by different producing areas in Guizhou. The results showed that:1)Total oil representation substances amount of the upper leaves, middle leaves and bottom leaves from different producing areas is 358.11~506.5 μg/g,288.28~512.98 μg/g and 289.57~363.78 μg/g respectively and the variable coefficient is 7.4% ~ 26.4%. The maximum total oil representation substances amount of the upper leaves, middle leaves and bottom leaves is 506.50 μg/g (Duyun),512.98μg/g (Zheng'an)and 363.78 μg/g (Guiding)separately and minimum total oil representation substances amount of the upper leaves, middle leaves and bottom leaves is 358.11 μg/g (Zheng'an),288.28 μg/g (Guiding)and 289.57μg/g (Duyun)respectively.Total oil representation substances amount of the upper leaves from Qiannan tobacco-growing area is 25.5% higher than Qianbei tobacco-growing area averagely and there is no obvious variation law in total oil representation substances amount of the middle leaves and bottom leaves between different tobacco-growing areas;2)Total sugar and reducing sugar content of the middle leaves and bottom leaves from Qianbei tobacco-growing area is 51.9% and 109.9%,and 40.8%and 95.6% higher than Qiannan tobacco-growing area, but total nitrogen content of middle leaves and bottom leaves from Qiannan tobacco-growing area is 21.2% and 25.3% higher than Qianbei tobacco-growing area.Total sugar and reducing sugar content of the upper leaves from Qiannan tobacco-growing area is 76.5% and 84.2% higher than Qianbei tobacco-growing area.
