Chemical Composition and Selection of Uniformity Evaluation Indicators of Tobacco Leaves in Different Heating and Humidifying Process
[Objective]The change rules in conventional chemical components of tobacco leaves under heating and humidifying treatment during the threshing and redrying process were explored to provide a reference for the selection of homogenization evaluation indicators for threshing and redrying.[Method]A half leaf control method based on large-scale production of leaf threshing and redrying was adopted to study the effects of three heating and humidifying process, namely vacuum condition, moisturizing, and tobacco redrying,on the chemical composition of tobacco leaves before and after redrying,as well as the raw and redried tobacco, then the evaluation indicators during the process of tobacco leaves and the stability of finished tobacco were screened.[Result]The three process of vacuum condition, moisturizing, and tobacco redrying had different influences on the chemical composition of tobacco leaves. The contents of nicotine, total sugar, reducing sugar, total sugar/nicotine,total nitrogen,pH and starch in tobacco leaves after vacuum condition decreased by 0.05%,0.16%,1.46%,0.43,0.03%,0.07 and 0.41%,respectively.Among them, the contents of total sugar/nicotine,total nitrogen, and starch showed significant differences before and after processing, while the content of reducing sugar and pH showed extremely significant differences, while the contents of nicotine and total sugar had a decreasing trend before and after processing, but there was no significant difference. After moisturizing and redrying of tobacco leaves, the reducing sugar content of tobacco leaves decreased by 0.34%and 0.59%,respectively,and there were significant or extremely significant differences in reducing sugar content before and after processing.Comparing with the raw tobacco, the component content of redried tobacco decreased, among which the total sugar, reducing sugar, total nitrogen and starch content decreased by 0.44%,0.87%,0.10%and 0.48%respectively,with an extremely significant difference; The total sugar/nicotine and pH decreased by 0.39 and 0.06,with a significant difference; The nicotine content decreased by 0.06%without a significant difference.[Conclusion]The key process of vacuum condition, moisturizing and redrying has a regulation effect on the chemical composition of tobacco leaves during the threshing and redrying process, and nicotine can be used as an index to evaluate the uniformity of the processing process and the finished tobacco.
