Agronomic Characters of Three New Potato Varieties(Lines)and Propagation Evaluation of Their Mini-tuber Under Aeroponics
[Objective]The effects of aeroponics culture on the agronomic traits of potatoes and propagation of their mini-tubers were explored to provide a reference for the propagation of virus-free potato mini-tubers.[Method]Three new potato varieties(Guinongshu 1,Guicaishu 1 and Cultivar No.20)with excellent characters in Guangxi were used as materials to determine the agronomic characters of potato and the yield of their mini-tubers under aeroponics cultivation.[Result]With the prolongation of aeroponics culture time, the stem length, stem diameter and node number of the three potato varieties increased gradually.Among them, the stem length, stem diameter, total root number and creeping stems of Cultivar No.20 were significantly higher than those of Guinongshu 1 and Guicaishu 1,while the leaf number and root length were less than that of Guicaishu 1,and Guinongshu 1 was only better than the other two varieties in creeping stem length. In terms of mini-tuber yield, the average yield per plant of Cultivar No.20 was 29.3%and 45.4%higher than that of Guinongshu 1 and Guicaishu 1,respectively.Moreover,the average weight of individual mini-tuber of Cultivar No.20 was 14.9%and 24.6%higher than that of Guinongshu 1 and Guicaishu 1,respectively.In terms of SPAD and LAI,Cultivar No.20 performed better than Guinongshu 1 and Guicaishu 1 in the whole determination process.[Conclusion]Comparing with the agronomic traits and mini-tuber growth status of three potato varieties(lines)under aeroponics comprehensively,Cultivar No.20 is more suitable for the propagation of mini-tubers under aeroponics.
