Variation and Correlation of Main Quality Content in Brassica napus Germplasm Population
[Objective]The correlations among quality traits of recombinant inbred lines of Brassica napus were explored, which provided reference for the selection of excellent germplasm resources of B.napus.[Method]258 recombinant inbred lines of B.napus were planted in Changshun County,Guizhou Province. After bagging and self pollination, their oil content, protein, glucosinolate, oleic acid, erucic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid content were measured, and the correlations of quality indicators were analyzed.[Result]The variation coefficient of oil content, protein, glucosinolate, oleic acid, erucic acid, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid was 6.23%to 230.90%,with oleic acid having the smallest coefficient of variation and erucic acid having the largest coefficient of variation. There was a highly significant positive correlation between erucic acid content and oil content(P<0.01),a highly significant negative correlation with oleic acid and linoleic acid content(P<0.01),and no significant correlation with glucosinolate, protein, and linolenic acid content. The content of glucosinolate was significantly negatively correlated with oil content and linolenic acid content(P<0.01),significantly positively correlated with protein and linoleic acid content(P<0.01),and no significantly correlated with oleic acid content. There was no significant correlation between protein and oleic acid, but a highly significant positive correlation with linoleic acid(P<0.01)and a highly significant negative correlation with linolenic acid(P<0.01).There was no significant correlation between oleic acid and linoleic acid, but a highly significant negative correlation with linolenic acid; There was a highly significant negative correlation between linoleic acid and linolenic acid.Principal component analysis revealed that PCA1,PCA2,and PCA3 explained 41.87%,22.26%,and 15.59%of the variation, respectively, and 13 specific materials were obtained. There were 248 materials with low erucic acid(≤3%)in 258 B.napus materials,122 materials with low glucosinolate(≤30µmol/g),232 materials with high content of protein, and 18 materials with high oil content, and 4 materials having the double-low and double-high qualities.[Conclusion]4 germplasm resources with low erucic acid, low glucosinolate, high oil content, and high protein were selected from 258 recombinant inbred lines of B.napus, which could provide germplasm materials for the breeding of new rapeseed varieties with high oil content.
