Effects of Brassinolide Concentrations on Growth and Physiological Indexes of Chinese Cabbage Seedlings Under Drought Stress
[Objective]The regulation effects of brassinolide with different concentrations on drought resistance of Chinese cabbage seedlings under drought stress were studied,so as to provide reference for applying brassinolide during production of Chinese cabbage.[Method]The Chinese cabbage'Shengli 118'was selected as the test material, and polyethylene glycol-6000 solution with 10%concentration was selected to simulate drought stress. After spraying different concentrations(0.05 mg/L,0.1 mg/L,0.5 mg/L and 1 mg/L)of 28-homobrassinolide,the growth and physiochemical indexes were determined to analyze the differences in physiological activity of Chinese cabbage seedlings treated with different concentrations of brassinolide.[Result]With the increase of brassinolide concentration, the growth state of cabbage seedlings showed a trend of good at first and then decayed.Form the aspect of phenotype of Chinese cabbage, their drought tolerance was the most obvious when treated with 0.05 mg/L and 0.1 mg/L brassinolide. The POD and CAT activities of leaves under drought stress showed a tendency to enhance and then weaken with brassinolide concentration increasing, while the MDA content decreased and then increased. The high concentration of brassinolide resulted in lower relative chlorophyll content of Chinese cabbage seedlings.[Conclusion]Spraying appropriate concentrations of brassinolide can improve the antioxidant enzyme activities of cabbage seedlings under drought stress, effectively alleviate the damage caused by drought stress, and spraying brassinolide at 0.05 mg/L and 0.1 mg/L concentrations are the best.
