[Objective]The soil physical and chemical properties and enzyme activities of Paeonia ludlowii habitat were analyzed to provide a reference for the development of plateau peony industry.[Method]The water content(SM),pH,electrical conductivity(EC),organic matter(SOM),total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorus(TP),total potassium(TK),available nitrogen(AN),available phosphorus(AP),available potassium(AK),and activity of β-N-acetylglucosaminidase(NAG),β-glucosidase(BG),leucine aminopeptidase(LAP),peroxidase(POD)and polyphenol oxidase(PPO)of soil were detected with taking the soil of P.ludlowii habitat from Lhasa,Shannan and Nyingchi as the study material, and then the adaptability of P.ludlowii to soil was analyzed.[Result]The soil pH of P.ludlowii habitat from Lhasa,Shannan and Nyingchi ranged from 6.406 to 7.322.The soil water content of Shannan was higher with 14.654%,while that of Lhasa was the lowest with 12.725%.The electrical conductivity showed as Lhasa>Shannan>Nyingchi. There was extremely significant correlation between pH and electrical conductivity in soil(P<0.01).The organic matter,alkali-hydrolyzable ammonia, total nitrogen, total potassium, total phosphorus, available phosphorus and available potassium were 9.85-16.76 g/kg,125.04-166.91 mg/kg,0.97-1.90 g/kg,5.37-7.08 g/kg,0.52-1.26 g/kg,24.07-40.52 mg/kg,127.53-371.83 mg/kg,respectively.The activity of soil enzyme NAG,LAP,BG,PPO and POD were 0.58-1.05 μmol/(g·h),0.68-0.72 μmol/(g·h),0.57-1.56 μmol/(g·h),1.46-2.37 μmol/(g·h)amd 2.37-3.15 μmol/(g·h)respectively.The soil enzyme activity of Lhasa was positively correlated with organic matter, electrical conductivity and pH,but negatively correlated with other indicators. The soil enzyme activity of Shannan was positively correlated with available phosphorus, available potassium and water content of soil, but negatively correlated with other indicators. The soil enzyme activity of Nyingchi was positively correlated with total phosphorus, total potassium, total nitrogen and available nitrogen, but negatively correlated with other indicators.[Conclusion]The soils of P.ludlowii habitat from Lhasa,Shannan and Nyingchi show relatively insufficient content of organic matter on the whole, medium content of total nitrogen, relatively insuffcient total phosphorus and total potassium, relatively abundant available nitrogen and available phosphorus, abundant available potassium, and P.ludlowii has lower demand to soil fertility.Organic matter and water content are the soil environmental factor with higher impact on soil enzyme activity of P.ludlowii habitat from Lhasa and Shannan, while organic matter and total nitrogen content are the the soil environmental factor with higher impact on soil enzyme activity of P.ludlowii habitat from Nyingchi. In the process of artificial cultivation of P.ludlowii, the ratio of each nutrient element needs to be adjusted according to different growth periods, the factors should be comprehensively considered,so as to lay a foundation for improving the soil environment of wild peony species and realizing the broad-spectrum planting of high-quality germplasm resources.
