A Case Study of Community Education Development in Guangzhou——Taking Yuexiu and Nansha Districts as an Example
In the construction of a learning society,community education is an indispensable and important link.Guangzhou was successfully selected into the list of UNESCO's"Global Learning Cities Network Members".The solid and effective community education has contributed a lot.Based on the analysis of the general situation of the development of community education in Guangzhou,this paper carries out a case study in Yuexiu and Nansha,two representative districts,to reveal the characteristics of Yuexiu community education in operation mode,funding guarantee and brand building,and the experience of Nansha community education in operation mode,education content and technology application.Addressing challenges such as the need for improved professionalization of personnel,upgrades to infrastructure,diversification of curriculum resources,and establishment of comprehensive evaluation standards and mechanisms,the following recommendations are proposed:first,enhance top-level design and strengthen governmental leadership;second,establish effective collaboration mechanisms among community stakeholders;third,modernize the concept of community education for greater efficacy;and finally,use modern information technology to advance the informatization of community education.
