Practice of Autonomous Open Teaching Supervision in Secondary Colleges of Higher Vocational Colleges——A Case Study of Tourism Department at Guangzhou City Polytechnic
Teaching supervision plays a crucial role in regulating teaching practices, driving teaching reforms, and enhancing teaching quality. With the internal management system reform in vocational colleges, secondary colleges have assumed primary responsibility for teaching activities, necessitating the establishment of a dedicated teaching supervision system.Building upon a transition from standardized teaching supervision to quality assurance based on institutional standards, this paper proposes the development of a teaching supervision system for secondary colleges, focusing on mechanisms, roles, and specialized supervision using the PDCA cycle theory.Using the Tourism Department as a case study, this paper analyzes the operational framework of the supervision system:engaging in professional diagnosis and enhancement, implementing closed-loop quality assurance, conducting self-assessment of professional quality, and fostering a culture of continuous self-improvement.
