Research on the Development of Advantageous Industries in Ethnic Regions from the Perspective of the Whole Industry Chain
Strengthening advantageous industries is the key to promoting the economic development in ethnic regions,and also a long-term strategy to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation.In the context of regional economic integration and economic globalization,based on the construction of a new pattern of dual circulation development,this paper explores the importance of strengthening the construction of industrial chains in ethnic regions under the dual embedding of global and domestic value chains.From the perspective of development strategies in underdeveloped regions,it is believed that leveraging comparative advantages to develop industrial chains in underdeveloped ethnic regions is more conducive to improving the overall competitiveness of the country and the region.Based on the comparative advantageous strategy and the employment-first strategy,the forty-two of those advantageous industries in eight ethnic provinces and regions were calculated by using the industrial spillover effect.Combining employment share and output share,five representative advantageous reference industries were selected for key development in each ethnic province and region.Policy suggestions are put forward from those aspects as promoting industrial cluster development,strengthening internal and external openness,cultivating brand products,in order to provide reference for promoting the development of advantageous industries in ethnic regions.
