The Impact of Service-oriented Manufacturing on the Technology Complexity of Manufacturing Industry Exports——Empirical Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data
Based on the provincial panel data of China from 2007 to 2021,this paper empirically analyzes the impact and functioning mechanism of service-oriented manufacturing on export technology complexity from the perspective of factor input.Research has shown that service-oriented manufacturing has a significant promoting effect on the complexity of export technology;Compared to the central and western regions,the impact of service-oriented manufacturing on export technology complexity is more prominent in the eastern region.Mechanism analysis shows that service-oriented manufacturing mainly improves export technology complexity through technological innovation effects,and the development of the digital economy has a positive regulatory effect in this process.Based on the research findings,proposing policy recommendations is of positive significance for further promoting high-quality development of the manufacturing industry and enhancing China's position in the global value chain.
