Digital Economy,Technological Innovation,and Export Technology Complexity:an Empirical Study of 41 Cities in the Yangtze River Delta Region
Based on the panel data from 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2012 to 2021,this study explores the impact of the digital economy on the export technology complexity of manufacturing industries and the intermediary effect of scientific and technological innovation in this process,and examines the moderating effect of scientific and technological finance.Research has found that the digital economy significantly promotes the increase of export technology complexity of urban manufacturing industries in the Yangtze River Delta region,but the enhancement effect varies due to differences in environmental regulations,human capital levels,and the status of central urban attributes.The digital economy promotes the increase of export technology complexity of manufacturing industries through scientific and technological innovation;financial science and technology plays a negative moderating effect in the increase of export technology complexity of manufacturing industries promoted by the digital economy in cities of the Yangtze River Delta region.To increase the export technology complexity of manufacturing industries,we need to accelerate the development of the digital economy,implement development policies tailored to local conditions,facilitate high-quality integration of scientific and technological innovation and and financial services.
