The Influence of Perceived Organizational Support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior Among Volunteers——The Serial Mediating Role of Psychological Capital and Job Satisfaction
Purpose:This study aimed to investigate the impact of perceived organizational support on organizational citizenship behavior among volunteers at large-scale events,and to analyze the mediating roles of psychological capital and job satisfaction in this process.Methods:A survey was conducted among 818 volunteers of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games,utilizing scales for perceived organizational support,psychological capital,job satisfaction,and organizational citizenship behavior to collect data.Results:Correlation analysis revealed significant positive correlations between perceived organizational support,psychological capital,job satisfaction,and organizational citizenship behavior.Serial mediation effect analysis indicated that perceived organizational support has a significant positive influence on organizational citizenship behavior,with psychological capital and job satisfaction partially mediating this relationship.Moreover,the serial mediating role of psychological capital and job satisfaction between perceived organizational support and organizational citizenship behavior was also evident.Conclusion:Perceived organizational support of large-scale sports events volunteers can affect their organizational citizenship behaviors both directly and indirectly through the independent mediating effects of psychological capital and job satisfaction,as well as the serial mediating effects of these two variables.
