Non-pharmacological interventions for chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment in breast cancer patients:a network meta-analysis
Objective:To assess the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions on chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment in breast cancer patients. Methods:Pubmed,Cochrane library,Embase,Web of science,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and CBM database were searched for randomized controlled trials that meet the research purpose, which was conducted from the inception of database to February 2022,and network meta-analysis was performed by Stata 16.0 software.Results:Twenty-two studies were included, involving 10 non-pharmacological interventions, and none of the included studies reported significant adverse events, indicating that these 10 non-pharmacological interventions are safe for the treatment of chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment. The network results showed that, compared with usual care, the most effective interventions were mindfulness therapy and cognitive training.Conclusions:Non-pharmacological interventions are safe and effective for the treatment of breast cancer chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment, among which mindfulness therapy and cognitive training may have the best effect. This result provides evidence-based data support for clinical decision-making,more high-quality studies should be required to get interventions with the best cost performance explored in the future.
