Application of the sequential treatment based on musculoskeletal ultrasound on rehabilitation of Neer Ⅰ and Ⅱ subacromial impingement syndrome
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of sequential treatment of subacromial impingement syndrome based on musculoskeletal ultrasound on rehabilitation of NeerⅠandⅡsubacromial impingement syndrome. Methods:From June 2022 to January 2024,40 patients with NeerⅠ and Ⅱ subacromial impact syndrome were divided into the sequential treatment group and the conventional rehabilitation group by random number table method,20 cases each, and 35 cases finally completed the full course of treatment.19 cases were in the sequential treatment group and 16 cases matched in age, gender, the length-time of course were in the conventional rehabilitation group(P>0.05).Patients in the sequential treatment group received the injection to the subacromial bursitis under the guidance of musculoskeletal ultrasound first, followed by conventional rehabilitation treatment. The conventional rehabilitation group served as a control group and received only conventional rehabilitation treatment. Each group was treated for 6 weeks,3 times a week. Finally, the Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores,Shoulder Pain and Disability Index(SPADI)scores and Active range of motion(AROM)of shoulder joint of the two groups were compared before treatment and by the end of 8 weeks. Results:VAS score,SPADI score and AROM of shouder joint in both groups were significantly improved after treatment. While,by the end of 8 weeks, the improvement of VAS score,SPADI score, flexion and abduction AROM of shouder joint in the sequential treatment group were significantly higher than that in the conventional rehabilitation group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sequential treatment based on musculoskeletal ultrasound can reduce the pain of patients with NeerⅠ and Ⅱ subacromial impingement syndrome and improve their shoulder joint function significantly, which is worthy of clinical application.
