Clinical Observation on Tongdu Xingshen Electroacupuncture Method Combined with Fuzhi Capsules in the Treatment of Vascular Dementia Patients
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tongdu Xingshen electroacupuncture method combined with Fuzhi Capsules in the treatment of vascular dementia.Methods A total of 100 patients with vascular dementia were randomly divided into observation group and control group,50 cases in each group.Both groups were given routine treatment.The control group was treated with Nimodipine,and the observation group was treated with Tongdu Xingshen electroacupuncture method combined with Fuzhi Capsules on the basis of the treatment of the control group.The treatment was lasted for 4 continuous weeks.After one month of treatment,the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.The changes of executive clock drawing task(CLOX)and Stroop test,as well as the scores of Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)and Clinical Dementia Rating(CDR)were observed before and after treatment in the two groups.The changes of Mental Global Assessment Function(GAF)and brief psychiatric rating scale(BPRS)were compared before and after treatment between the two groups.The changes of superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)levels in the two groups before and after treatment were observed.Results(1)After treatment,the CLOX,Stroop1 and Stroop2 of the two groups were significantly improved(P＜0.05),and the improvement of CLOX,Stroop1 and Stroop2 in the observation group was significantly superior to that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).(2)After treatment,the MMSE and CDR scores of the two groups were significantly improved(P＜0.05),and the improvement of MMSE and CDR scores in the observation group was significantly superior to that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).(3)After treatment,the GAF and BPRS scores of the two groups were significantly improved(P＜0.05),and the improvement of GAF and BPRS scores in the observation group was significantly superior to that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).(4)After treatment,the levels of SOD,MDA and GSH-Px in the two groups were significantly improved(P＜0.05),and the improvement of SOD,MDA and GSH-Px in the observation group was significantly superior to that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Tongdu Xingshen electroacupuncture method combined with Fuzhi Capsules in the treatment of vascular dementia can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients,improve the levels of SOD and GSH-Px,and reduce the level of MDA.
